Driving back from a business trip I saw a hwy sign for Brown's Country Kitchen. I was hungry and longing for a good "home cooked" breakfast. Brown's did not disappoint! From the start, the friendly wait staff instantly made me feel welcome. The food - delicious! I ordered eggs with a slice of ham - the ham was a thick yummy steak complete with center bone - nothing like ham served up north! My favorite though was the real grits!!! Living up north if served anywhere they are instant and really bad. Brown's Thank-You for a great experience - the breakfast kept me full all the way back to CT
We stopped for lunch after kayaking. Our waitress was excellent. The sandwiches were delicious, hand carved roasted turkey made them extra special. Don't forget to have their homemade pies. We will definitely return.
SIMPLE THE BEST! I drove 2 hours to start my vaction to enjoy Browns food! I always sit in the ice cream corner and the waitress arrived quickly, friendly and chatty. I always feel like I'm home when I visit. Today I ordered meatloaf and veggies! It arrived quickly, hot, aromatic and so flavorful! YUM I highly recommend you stop in.
Came here after biking at Moraine State Park. We were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Asiago artichoke dip, loaded fries, Buffalo chicken wrap, and cheesesteak flatbread. Everything was good! The chicken in the wrap was nice and crispy and we loved the flavor of the blue cheese and ranch. The flatbread was extra cheesy which I enjoyed. Our server was lovely-all smiles and she seemed to genuinely like working there which is always great to see. The ambiance is fun-they have a lot of funny signs on the wall which are entertaining to read. We will be back and next time try one of their homemade pies.
Who wouldn't appreciate some Brown's Country Kitchen after a long day hiking at McConnell's Mill.
